The Fever
The hurt
 The pain
 The misery unfolds
 As she waits
 And she watches
Her mother slowly and unfathomably dies
The blank stare in her eyes
Held cold and incredulously to her mothers face
 That was slowly withering away
 The uncontrollable tears
 Were unbearable to watch
The fever was taking the life of her mother
Then her mother took in her last full breath
As her life was taken from her
Just as others lives had been impartially taken
 By the fever of 1793
