The Coast of Maine
I stretch out my hands toward the waves.
It’s not the same as yesterday.
He, my love, has gone away.
It’s another cold day on the coast of Maine.
I look out over the gathering thick fog.
It starts to rain, before long.
I see a lighthouse in the distance.
And God, only you know how much I miss him.
The sun starts to come out today.
All my pain is taken away.
You’re back now!
You’re here to stay.
It’s another sunny day on the coast of Maine
