My '93 Chevrolet

Sitting on your knee on my ‘93 Chevrolet
My hoodie pulled over my face
You push it back mumbling about stars being my eyes
The sun comes up glazing the fog
I hate the cold
You blink, turn away from the sun
An Ice Princess can’t be with the soul of a volcano
Yet here we are as happy as can be
I dream of one day
You say I’m much more than satisfying.
I punch your shoulder you kiss me
We disappear in the far off seas
Woods are in space an ever long
Maze we stroll through today
You pull out sodas and I can’t hold it my fingers are numb
Prickles and needles old lady hobby sticks
Prick my heart as you take my hand
Never want to leave this moment in time
I say I wish we could be frozen in a watercolor
And never face the life ahead and behind
I wish to see your face every morning
Watch the sun glitter as it finds its home
In your smile
I blush and look down kick the sole of my shoes
I won’t leave you if you stay here for eternity
How will I do it you whisper the wind carries me
If our souls stay on the same path, the dork and the geek
Will you love me?
Stay on my knee
I trust my life to you
You’re too deep but I need you here for me
All just a whisper in our ears
Sitting on your knee on my ’93 Chevrolet
