A single rose lay weeping,
The teardrops of the mourn;
A single rose lay weeping,
Her teardrops are forlorn.

The teardrops are like acid,
Her petals they do break;
The teardrops are like acid,
Raining petals by the lake.

The petals fall so softly
Through the air thy gently glide;
The petals fall so softly,
From their home they all will slide
