It's another day that reveals a chance for new opportunity,
this majestic beauty,
that greets me every single morning of my life so far.
I can't help but think of what the future holds for our souls.
One day maybe we will delight in a river of gold.
Those we love and those we honor,
we do believe in each other.
I wish I could love without fear,
but without fear we will feel not sincere.
Is it success that I'm after or is it happiness,
my heart mourns for all what is happening.
I only wish to hold on to the one my heart calls out to,
but myself thoughts are too clouded and unclear,
almost as if I were just looking in a mirror.
What I see is something unexplainable and yet so unobtainable.
Just out of reach,
this beauty that breathes life into all of the world's sheep.
The dazzling rays that no man can defeat.
This is my sunrise,
this is my life.

The author's comments:
I was at work and as I peered out of the office building window I could see the reflections of the sunrise on the skyscrapers in downtown Charlotte. A feeling of relaxation came upon me and I began to write out what I was feeling.
