It's Not Just You I Miss, It's Us

By
i miss you i do
i love you its true
but you hurt me so bad, i stopped believing
i tried to ignore every single feeling
its not fair, i loved you
you hurt me and moved on
and now the spark is gone
you told me that you wanted
to throw my book away
it means nothing to you
but i think of it every day
you meant so much to me
if only you could see
im hurting inside
my blood has spilled all over this ride
get me off this roller coaster
take me down, get me closer
to the ground
you hurt me way too much
for me to still long for your touch
but i guess that's just the way it works
id give up anything to understand
the ways of this world
to get things back to how they used to be
when you were mine and it was just you and me
not caring about what they would say
just sticking by each others side day after day
you made me who i was
and now without you i'm as good as lost
nothings the same
everything has changed
come, come up and see me
kinda secretly hoping things will go back
to how they use to be
back to when it was just you and me
but then you say "ive got a girl
heart pure of gold
you'd love her, wanna hang out?"
and i feel like i just need to shout..
wake me up from this dream
where nothing is as it seems
too much like reality
somebody please come save me
because your eyes your hair
your body your stare
you lure me in as if its meant to be
and all of this is just to crack me
well it worked, you hurt me twice
but i promise it wont happen a third time
thanks for all those days together
running away in the rainy weather
think and thin that's what we said
but i guess its only what I meant
because i do love you now
and forever more
more than anything your hugs i adore
but you're too far away for me to reach out
missing you, missing us. that's what its about
