My Cape

Your cape lets you soar above the ocean.
My Cape lets me play in the waves.

Your cape lets you see the magnificence of worldly art.
My Cape lets me see the art of removing sand from your belly button.

Your cape lets you eat pizza from Italy.
My Cape lets me eat pizza from Carmines.

Your cape lets you go shopping in Paris.
My Cape lets me buy rope bracelets from Ben Franklin.

Your cape lets you see the world.
My Cape shows me where my world is.

Your Cape lets you do anything you want.
My Cape is all I want.

Your Cape lets you fly.
My Cape keeps me grounded.

The author's comments:
I am not sure, but my poem may be hard to understand. Every year my family and I go to Cape Cod, Massachussetts. It is my favorite time of the year. I wouldn't trade my Cape for any flying machine in the world. I hope everyone can have a "Cape" sometime in their life.
