I look out my window and what do I see,

A whole bunch of snow just waiting for me,

It's Fluffy, It's White, and It's out of sight,

I run outside ready to play but then I fall but I'm ok,

It's a perfect Snow Day,

The fresh fallen snow so pure and white,

Seeing the children laugh and play is such a delight,

Building snow men and throwing snow balls,

A perfect Snow Day fun has had by all,

When the fun is all done, I head back inside,

My mom greets me with a waarm surprise,

Hot coco by the fire to warm me up and take off the chill,

I look out my window, the snows falling again,

peaceful and still.

The author's comments:
I decided to write this poem for a contest in my band class. I thought I was sure to loose. We had many poems up for contest, but mine was the best and I got to recite it there. When I done, I got a very exciting applause. I was very happy for making this poem and proud of myself for having the courage to say it in front of alot of people.
