Daddy do you love me?

Daddy do you love me now that I’ve gotten into trouble. I'm only eight and I don't understand. Am I the reason why you and mommy have gone away? You say no and that you love me. I know more than I let you think. Mind works in mysterious ways and you know nothing about me. Now I’m grown and I still ask you the same question. Daddy do you love me? You say you do then I ask. Why don't you ever come to see me? You say its complicated and that I wouldn't understand but I do understand. You have a whole new life and family and no longer do you have time for me. So Daddy do you really love me after all?
