Back in the Day
What happened to "the good old day"?
When we never had a care in the world.
When did everything change?
When picture books turned to novel,
and addition and subtraction to algebra.
When did light up Spiderman shoes turn into Nikes?
The Fisher-Price plastic trike out on the curb.
Before computers and ipods,
and when playing tag for 3 hours a day was the best.
The endless laughter and fun,
now replaced by stress and problems.
What ever happened to the days,
when running through the srinkler was a total blast?
When did all that go away?
and now maturity here to stay.
