Speak Up
People in life can be very strange,
Minds being oh so deranged.
Thinking that it's no big deal,
To abuse, beat, or even kill.
This very thing happened to poor little Bob,
beaten by his drunken mom.
Bob was just eight years old,
Being scared he never told.
Just how cruel the world can be,
looking at his bruises you could see.
Everyday he told all these lies,
To help hide the tears rolling from his eyes.
Everyone knew what was going on,
But pretended as if nothing was wrong.
Poor little Bob is laying cold,
all because nobody told.
Let this be a lesson to you,
Always speak up for what you know is true.
