When I pass by
Down the hallways or on the stairs
Do you stop?
Do you think?
Do you even care?

When you see me
In a crowd of hate and lies
Do you wish?
Do you hope?
Do you hear my sighs?

When I’m cold and alone
And there’s no one at my side
Would you see?
Would you help?
Or would you run and hide?

When I think of future
And I see us together
Would you risk?
Would you chance?
Would you hold on to forever?

If I asked you to be mine
Without lies or regrets
Could you refuse?
Could you hold back?
Could you forget we met?

If I pointed out
How much we are alike
Could you deny?
Could you ignore?
Cold you put up a fight?

If I dreamt
Of true love and pure bliss
Should I forget?
Could you leave?
Would you truly be missed?

The next time
I pass by and you stare
Should I stare back?
Could I turn away?
Would you even care?

My questions are complex
These feelings are so true
Do you hate me?
Do you like me?
I really wish I knew…

Hey everyone! My name is Saray. Poetry is my forte. i enjoy writing and i was inspired to write this particular poem because of a boy. Collin Willems. I have had the hugest crush on him for three years streight. of course, he is a senior... why would a senior date a sophmore, right? i get so frustrated about him sometimes. but anyway!!!!!
enjoy!
Tang Apple (thats my alias name)

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

This is amazing, the way it's written begins this rhythm in my head, and I enjoy poems more it they have some sort of a rhythm or I can visualize what is going on, this poem does both perfectly.

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Wind, Sand and Stars, 1939, translated from French by Lewis Galantière

this was wonderfully written! i love the way it flows and the rhetorical questions were a nice touch. superb. i'm surprised i'm the first to find it. keep writing :) and i'm sorry about this guy :/ .
