A Christmas Gift
A normal day, or so it seems
The class of students begins to dream
Of mistletoe, caroling, wreaths, and holly
The simply thought of Christmas made everyone jolly
The morning prayer is about to commence
But wait, what is that by the outside fence?
The students abruptly turn to stare
Is that a girl with ice in her hair?
But no, it could never be
They sprint to the window in order to see
Indeed, snow was falling from the sky!
The opportunity could not be passed by
One by one they filed out of the room
This Christmas gift had abolished all of their gloom
For in a land that never sees ice
A New Orleans snow day would be very nice
