Who Am I?
I am a girl, small and lone
Afraid to fly on my own
I am a daughter, my family’s my all
Without them, I know I would fall
I am a sister, young and naïve
In my brothers’ protection I believe
I am a student, worried and stressed
But, deep down, I know I am blessed
I am a Catholic, firm I will stand
I know that God will lead me by the hand
I am a musician, rhythm fills my soul
The sounds of music make me whole
I am a friend, loyal and true
I’ll love and support through and through
I am a person, just like you and me
And our similarities help me to be free
For I know I can be myself and stand tall
This is all I can do—I am just me, after all
