Sleeping Soundly

December 8, 2008
By Victoria Roberts, Luling, LA

As I drift off to sleep,
which becomes ever do deep,
I am overwhelmed with relaxation,
a wonderful feeling of sensation.

As yet another dream starts,
my mind and body seem to part.
The dreams that I have of family, friends, and school
all swim around in my head like a deep whirlpool

Suddenly the alarm begins to beep,
as my body first tenses, then drifts back asleep.
The lights all prove to be off,
as I sleep soundly in my loft.
