When it connects with the make-shift-sock-ball


I am the swarms of running children

The sickly, sweet smell of “Chuckee Cheeses’,” cheesy playhouse

The blaring sirens of the police car at Chuckee Cheeses pounding my head

like a hammer


I am from the basketball pounding on the court

I am from dark consuming the light, while the basketball still pounds away


I am from countless superbowls

Taking the attention away from me

The birthday girl

While people watched to see the winner

I am from

birthday present

wins

And birthday curses

losses


I am from the freetime I could never get back

No matter how hard I tried


I am from the sweet, melodic piano tunes pouring out

soft, complex music, threatening to hypnotize


I am from these priceless memories I can’t change

And I would never change anyway
