A Dream Deferred
Modeled after the poem by Langston Hughes
Wichita
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it get passed on
Like paint from one car to another in a crash?
Or do they gather like a storm cloud overhead
And then disperse like people at a party?
Does it disappear like lost children?
Or run away-
like troubled teens?
Maybe it just flies off
like a murder of crows
Or does it hover; untouchable?
