The Dutch in Me
I like the winter, bu t not the cold and snow.
Up at five tired and weary,
makes me feel short and dreary.
Blowing that deep snow off of the lane, one more morning and i'll go insane.
Sitting on the tractor all open and cold, somehow it makes me feel i was sold.
Removing the snow all morning with no pay, i'd rather spend all day slugging the hay.
A few hours pass and my face turns red, makes me appreciate my nice warm bed.
finished finally i head on home, makes me wish i didn't have to write this poem.
