Nonsense

one plus one makes Two.
Two is made by two ones.
one and one are Two.
Two is nothing. Two is anything.
Two is something.

a hand writing
with ten fingers. pencils creating
coffee stains on the ceiling. souls found resting
in the bottom of your shoe. writing that
walks across the sky. books full of words
written by themselves. a wolf seen chewing
on a celery stick. a lion drinking
a Coca-Cola. a barrel full
of drunken men. a fertilizer made
of human hair.

worm garden
flower toothpaste
cheese blade
grass strait hair
water marker
hug from an enemy
shove from a friend

can you see an dog walking a fish down the highway?
an old grandpa driving behind the wheel of a racecar?
how ‘bout a parent and a child arguing about
how good they are to each other?
i can…
what about a tree growing in the middle of the ocean?
pink and purple dots all over a giraffe?
what about a pool o yellow Jello,
or a jacket filled with staples?
i can..

i’m for schools that come together to ban blueberry pancakes.
i’m for swim teams that sell neon pink erasers.
i’m for words that crack glass
and clouds that cause atomic bombs.
i’m for a red pillow that’s a green pillow too.
i’m for two plus two equals shrimp puff,
and cakes with people hidden inside.
i’m for heavy weight wrestlers doing
daily grocery shopping in the diet section.
i’m for monkeys invading the earth.
i’m for sprouting wings after leaving an arcade.
i’m for walking outside to find the whole world orange.
and I’m for bowling with giant rolly pollies for marshmallow pins.

one plus one equals Two.
Two is probable -- Two is impossible.
see what I mean?
