A rebellious flower with no conscience
Is growing without caution
It's a wilting flower full of guilt
Not willing to face the future it's built
Its fragile petals fall to its death
Not wanting to take another breath.
Evening sun rays lay on its corpse
Its beauty has run its course
A tall flower with a short past
Has found peace at last.

The troubles and stress that face teenagers today, especially young ladies, can take a toll on their self-esteem and make them question their value and morals. Social media plays a part in demeaning females and making them think the only way to get respect is through exposing their bodies and dressing sexy. I hope this poem reveals that making risky choices that go against a female's integrity can be life threatening and not the only way to gain love for oneself.
