All is Lost

December 9, 2008
By Madisson Barnett, Elizabethton, TN

She said,
Will you leave me now, full of fear?
Alone and suffering, with no one near.
Stay with me one more day
Stay with me less I fade away.
Is it fate that keeps you here?
Or does it please you to see my tears?
It was Spring 1963, the first of May,
All she could do was bow and pray.
