Remember Yesterday?

deep within my thoughts i linger
sound and idle where i lie
dancing on the dreaded question
that'll haunt me 'til i find out why

flying fast on a night of cold
with eyes shut tight for the fullmoon's glow
dreaming dreams that's all too real
of friends and foes of long ago

this timeless cycle
wont leave you a trace
but'll throw out to you
your most horrible days
and so you need others
to solace your stay;
you can't run from something
you need everyday

in my head, i've heard, you've said
there's no way past this line
i took that step, you stood your ground
your hands slip out of mine
from what i've seen and what i've heard
which echoes out the night
you said this friendship will not last
you're cruel but you're right

flying fast; i'm not alone
you cannot see me watch you go
you cannot leave; i need you still
and you're the only way i know

this poem is kind of like a compilation of small verses that makes sense together. i wrote it/them while thinking about a friend that tried to help me with a problem, but couldn't. that ended up seperating us.

Wow, the emotion really flows through this poem and it seems to jump off of the page and into my heart! You captured the hurt and seriousness of the situation where you lost someone that was near to you. Great job! If you don't mind and have a little time, I would be honored if you would check out my work. Thanks.
