What If

What do you see when you look inside of me?
How would you feel if I never kept it real?
Will I drive you insane because your heart would be defeated?
Or would you overcome the pain because your heart can somehow beat it?

What If I told you, you were just a rebound?
Would you still rise to the top, or would you fall to the ground?
How would you like it if I stole your heart?
Just to hold on long enough to tear it apart?

What if I lied and said you were the one?
And then years later I say we are done?
What if I made you believe I was once hurt?
But later you find out I am just a piece of dirt?

What if one day I stand on one knee?
And looked you in your eyes and asked would you marry me?
How would it feel if you found out I was lying?
Would you forgive me and keep on trying?

What if you caught me cheating with someone else?
Will it kill you inside because I used you for your wealth?
How would you feel if I did these things to you?
Would you finally understand what you been putting me through?

The author's comments:
In this piece all of these things didn't happen to me.But most of it did and alot of women go through this and their men still doesn't understand the pain that they caused until it happens to them. And then they'll finally understand so I was inspired to write this piece by my experience and by the women who go through this and can overcome the pain and remain strong.
