A Lonely Pair
A lonely girl sits by a lonely boy,
And together they make a lonely pair.
But they are to shy to just say hey,
So the sit alone in despare.

The lonely girl cries to her mother,
Why won’t they talk to me?
Why won’t they even say hey,
They always just let me be.

The lonely boy confides in his brother,
No one will talk to me,
They don’t even come up and say hey,
They always just let me be.

Now the lonely pair sat side by side,
And not a word was spoken.
They didn’t even utter a greeting of ‘hey’,
And the cycle remained unbroken.

Then one day, the lonely boy was gone,
He seemed to just vanish on the spot,
And he never had a chance to say hey,
That night he had been shot.

The lonely girl cried that night,
When she heard the news.
She had wanted to that day tell him ‘hey’,
Before there had been nothing to loose.

But because she had not acted at first chance,
The lonely girl was still alone,
She hadn’t even had a chance to say hey,
Not to even call him on his phone.

But then one day, the lonely boy was back,
He appeared right out of the blue.
He went over to the lonely girl and said hey,
And she proceeded to tell him, I love you.

And now a girl sits by a boy,
And together they make a pair,
When they sit down, they always say hey,
And they are no longer in any despair.
And they are no longer in any despair.
