Paper

Paper
The paper stares up at me
A blank canvas with limitless possibilities
Its vastness surrounds me
It seems to create an entirely new world
One with no rules
No laws
No limits
It presents me with a many choices
It gives me the ability to do anything
Anything I can think of
Anything I could imagine
Anything I want
And yet I stare upon
Unknowing of these possibilities
I am just lost in its depths
Its emptiness
Its perfection
Its sheer infinity
Its is perfect and untouched
But as I sit here, I know
I know I will mark it with my own flaws

This is possibly the best poem I have ever read, no doubt. The use of description is simply astounding.

Wow, what a great poem. It truly makes one wonder about how many different things can be done with a simple sheet of paper! Well done!
