Beach Bliss

As I lay on the bed of sand, I soak up vitamin D from the blazing sun as it roasts my skin. The smells of sea salt, sunscreen, and barbeque charcoal put a smile on my face. The draft of wind flutters the pages of my novel, and sends tiny grits of sand flying into my hair. I look up to find children attempting to make an immense sand castle, until the giant waves devour their project. I could daydream and stroll along the shore until sunset.
