Season's Powers

December 2, 2008
By Wesley Glover, Memphis, TN

By the Spring’s rain and the Summer’s heat
Rise thee now to thy feet
With the Fall’s winds and the Winter’s cold
Rise thee now and do as thou art told
By January’s rebirth and December’s death
Rise thee now take a breath
By February’s love and November’s thanks
Rise thee now from the dark
By March’s greenery and October’s fright
Rise the now into the light
By April’s rejuvenation and September’s change
Rise thee now from thy pain
By May’s flowers and Augusts’ humidity
Rise thee now to thy nobility
By June’s rest and July’s lights
Rise thee now with delight
