Descent of Darkness (A Child's View)

Bright light shines upon your face
You feel its warmth
You behold its grace,
But alas it subsides
As the darkness descends
And with the night
Brings about terrors and trepidation
You withstand the silence
And quiver at every creak
And listen to the boogey man’s screech
Through your tearful sobs and weeps
And as the climax of this monstrosity is upon you here
Your pass out and hope that nothing else shall come near
As eye lids slowly slide apart, day light greets you and melts into your heart
The feeling of safety and calmness quickly over come
As the day embraces you with its joyful hum,
But as quickly as it started, does it swiftly end
You feel the omnipresence of horror as Darkness Descends.
