Anything But Everything

November 29, 2008
By Chelsea Brenneke, Bonne Terre, MO

Found
beneath the depths of loneliness,
The wrath of death
upon you.
The despair, sorrow, and emptiness lured you
to your demise.
Drowned your mind
and devoured your vulnerable soul.
The need for familiarity
overflowed with every sip.
After everything,
you're still left with
anything but
what you truely wanted.
Fell short of the expectations.
Breathed one too many
breaths.
Lived one too many lives.
So you took your own.

Wow. This was amazing. It's really deep, and it flows really well. I feel you. Keep writing.
