Patchwork Heart

By
It lays there
Shattered and useless,
Trying to beat

You broke it
You destroyed it,
And didn't even care

You lost it
I miss it,
A hole in my chest

I'll mend it
With patches and seams,
But parts are still missing

Can I trust you again
With something so priceless,
You only get so many chances

Be careful
I need it,
Without it I'll die
