The Window of Hope

She stared out,
That window of hope.
The one that has been shattered,
So many times before.
She stares out in faith,
That maybe it will work
Just once.
She fears that it,
Will soon shatter
And leave her nothing but despair
She fears that those shards of glass
Will soon cut into
Her heart once again
