Through my eyes

When you look at the world through my eyes
You not only see what is there.
You see a past without a future
A world behind a veil.

You see a starlit banner
Lying trampled on the floor.
The respect and honor we once showed
Is lost and is no more.

You see people crying "Freedom!"
"We have a right to speak at will!"
But what about those tiny voices
That thy world they long to fill....
