For My Mother

November 24, 2008
By Jenny Pham, Dorchester, MA

There can be no words to describe it.
Nothing can be compared to it.
No one will understand it.
It runs like the river,
Forever flowing.
It is the fire of life,
Forever ablaze.
The tallest mountain,
Keep climbing
but never reach the top.
It is the sun,
Giving life to others.
It is more important than that pot of gold
At the end of the rainbow.
It is a sacred place within my heart.

The author's comments:
I am one of many girls out there who love to write poetry and stories for fun. I would like to dedicate this poem to my wonderful mom. She inspired me to write this poem. Thank you mother!
