Oatmeal raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies are the reason I have trust issues

Auburn hair
Emerald eyes
False smiles
Forlorn sighs

Razor blades
Crimson lines
Tear-streaked face
Unheard cries

Whispers dance,
Across classrooms.
In the haste,
A new scar blooms.

The school bell rings
Its shrill shout.
She takes her normal twisted route.

This is...
The story of an angel
Screaming, cutting, strangled.
Coating herself in skulls and spikes,
Drowning in black hair dye.

Changing the look in her green eyes,
Dreaming of a paradise.
For a place where people fly,
And wouldn’t wish for her demise.

And in fear,
She spreads her wings, with injured feathers,
And cuts that sting.

One silver blade,
One crumpled note,
One she herself wrote.
One tear,
One urge to float.

As she starts,
A hand takes hers.
And with a look,
She lifts the curse.

A good friend,
Her savior.
One who’d hoped,
To save her.

This is...
The story of an angel
Screaming, cutting, strangled.
Coating herself in skulls and spikes,
Drowning in black hair dye.

Changing the look in her green eyes,
Dreaming of a paradise.
For a place where people fly,
And wouldn’t wish for her demise.

Stained black hair,
Drying eyes,
Smile smiles,
Sarcastic sighs.

Plaited bracelets,
Healing lies,
Rosy face,
No more cries.

This is...
The story of an angel.
Laughing, hugging, able.
Coating herself in friends she loves
With a past she will not speak of.

Laughing and batting her green eyes,
Dreaming of a paradise.
For a place where people fly,
And would cry over all demise.

Where humans weren’t in love with sin,
And wouldn’t let such a devil in.

So now she looks them in the eye,
Not submitting to their despise.

With a proud stance,
She lives her life,
Adorning scars from her time of strife.

For she wrote,
The Story of an Angel.
Laughing, hugging, able...
