Life’s not getting simpler.
My smiles have become pretentious.
The shine in my eyes has grown to be dimmer.
Whether they are for good or bad, it’s all contentious.

I can’t help but let this pain flow.
There are no ships for blockade.
Unfortunately, problems don’t melt away like snow;
So for now Time is my only aid.

How things will turn out?
Don’t ask me.
If only we took a different route,
Would I be pleased?

I just want it to be simple,
I don’t want to put on an act,
I want everyone to feel the warm rays,
Why can’t good things stay intact?
When things fall apart I block the pain.
but it comes chasing me after a while.
I don’t understand why Good can’t remain.
Why bad things conquer my smile.

Time has gone by,
And has not healed.
Lately I always cry.
Oh the many tears I have concealed.

I try to keep my heart going.
What does it take?
I need it to keep beating.
