One Second

Anxiety, hysteria, insanity;
it’s all identical.
They push her closer
to deception.

“Engrave,
Inevitable Being,
into my farewells,
pure truth.”

Time alone will justify
any last thoughts…tick-tock.
One second, sixty minutes,
twenty-four hours…death.

He preaches his word…

“Rest easy, young soul,
for you cannot fear
the coming of what has
already happened.”

I have only been writing about a year and a half. This peice was originally done as an english assignment for a "No repitition" poem, and if you look through, you'll find that not one word repeats itself, hence the name.
