The Sky

The Sky
Staring at the sky
I find myself wondering why
What is the point of all of this?
The headache, pain, happiness and bliss

There is something wondrous about the sky
On a sunny day you feel like you can fly
You feel like everything you do is right
Your future is looking bright

A dark, grey sky makes you contemplate
Why you do what you do if all you get is a complaint
You feel cold, alone and broken down
Your smile has been replaced by a frown

The sunrise sky gives you hope
It’s the hope of whatever happens you know you can cope
There is no situation that you can not handle
You won’t let others blow out your candle

The sunset makes you look to the past
Makes you wonder, “How did it go by so fast?”
The good times and even the bad
Are done and that makes you sad

A man can measure his life by the sky
From birth to when he comes to die
The sky represents his deepest dreams and desires
And all the big plans that he conspires

When you feel lost and full of doubt
Just look to the sky and your answers have a way of coming out
There is something in the sky that gets to the core of your being
To me there is no greater feeling.

The sky is a silent metaphore for our lives. Like the sky, our lives are constantly changing. We as people change as well.

This poem really touched me and made me cry. The way she just digs into the soul. The next Robert Frost right here!!!
