whenever a child on earth enters a new life
the god delivers a gift of rejoice

descends from the heavens the kindest
of angels with a heart of gold
and gets disguised in every mothers' soul

her eyes are shells of precious pearls
and when they fall varied emotions unfurls

hidden emotions in warm smile
reflections of joys in the teary eyes

her arms are the banquet of sweetest flowers from everywhere
when they wrap around me
i feel lost in their empowering fragrance
and forget all my fear

whenever i am burdened by deep pain
when all my efforts go in vain

her encouraging words reverberates and soothes my anxious mind
like the light from the brightest lamp that will eternally shine

now i realize that though we may be
so apart
but i know that i am bonded to her
soul and heart

just like the clouds may travel with
the winds so far
or touch the mountains so high
but never seem to forget their path which
is in the blue sky

the birds may fly on the longest of quests
but at dawn will always return to their nests

so that's why i tell you

if you ever search for a paradise on earth
you will surely find it at the feet of ­disguised angel who gave you birth.
