"You either die a Hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the Villain."

Two boys were born in the hardest of towns,
Places where no one wants to hang around,
Places where only the toughest survive,
You got what it takes to stay alive?
One died a hero,
The other died a hood,
One was bad,
The other was good,
One let others push him around,
And one pushed others to the ground,
Both of them had it tough,
But one was quiet,
And the other was rough,
What made these two greasers alike,
Was that they both came from a place called “The Outside,”
The hero died saying:
“Golden is the best way to stay.”
The hood died saying:
“Nothing in this world will ever be the same.”
Shot down and crumpling under a streetlight,
Because he always got what he thought was right,
The hero gave up his life for those he saved,
The hood gave his up for those he couldn’t save,
Because nothing golden ever stays

This is an ode to the book called "The Outsiders" which also became a movie. It's for the two boys who died. If you haven't read the book, read it. It's amazing.
