Silhouettes

More by this author
Three silhouettes aligned with the moon,
running into the night.
Hand-in-hand and heart-in-heart,
embracing what feels right.
Two silhouettes aligned with the moon,
abandoned,yet not broken.
Hand-in-hand and heart-and-heart,
promises, no longer spoken.
Soon, the darkness does subside,
revealing a distant sun-
not to light the path of two
but of a lonely one.
One silhouette aligned with the moon,
realizing something true,
whether hand-in-hand or heart-in-heart,
your one true friend is you.

Woah... Wow... Words cannot describe what I felt after reading this. I get this so deeply, so passionately. Two other friends, one not so true, one misgided, and then there's you. I love how you represented this.
