Puddle Jumper

November 10, 2008
By Leanne Minkoff, East Meadow, NY

A special feeling for you and me
A feeling of which cannot be seen
One of which, cannot abate
To escape this feeling, is defeating fate

A puddle jumper cannot escape the intensity
A downpour of rain, a pool of density
Drifting into a silent abyss
To take away, is a chance you miss

A parti pris, love at fight sight
A scented candle, about to ignite
With the sweetest scent, it fills all your gloom
A passion so tender, it even fills the biggest room.
