Mirror

You are like a mirror to me
For sometimes your reflection isn’t true
You may be happy on the outside
But if you take the mirror out
You still haven’t discovered yourself
The mirror hides your pain and doubt
But yet you say it is all a lie
And say that you’re just fine
I tell you to show your true self
And peel that outer layer off
But yet you deny what
Is truly inside and just let
The mirror hid the real you
So you stare into the mirror and say
“Mirror, mirror on the wall please tell me
I am the fairest of them all so I can accept
The fact that the inner me is a lie
And the outer shell is true”
