The Fall
And I win
 But at what cost?
 To have love gained
 Then to have it lost

 My fickle heart
 Will have it’s fickle end
 I’m sick because
 I hurt you

It’s said we kill the things we love
 The opposite also rings true
For you have stabbed me in the chest
 And I have mutilated you

 Broken, yes,
 But beyhond repair…
I’ve failed all my chemistry tests
 And I don’t know

 The air it chills,
 My bones
 And fills,
 My empty heart with greed

 I don’t deserve you,
 You don’t deserve this
 Time is crueler
 than my words

 The seasons are shifting,
And winter is starting to call.
 Summer has ended peacefully,
And I can’t face the fall.
