28 years since the last,
Feels like a time from the ancient past.

World champions, what a great thing to say
It is something that no one can take away.

Howard, Utley, Rollins, Feliz,
A great infield; so fast just like bumble bees.

MVP, for a man named Cole,
He throws every strike, right in the hole.

Victorino, a great center fieldmin,
Catches everything,
No wonder in the World Series, we did win.

And a perfect season including post,
If Phillies were having a party, Brad Lidge would be the host.

So why wait another 28, when we can do it next year,
Well, I’ll be in the stands, and all I’ll do is cheer.

So congrats, Phil’s, on an amazing feat.
Next year, again we will defeat

Although this poem shows an anonymous author, the author is actually me, Mark Killen.

I wrote this for my English class. I had fun writing it and I hope you enjoy reading it.
