A Star Too Far

Ten billion years ago I used to sparkle,
a speck of a newborn star,
that shone a bright pink or orange,
and flitted about,
through endless space.
Now no one sees me.
I glow a deep blue.
I idle in one place to think,
to ponder,
while everyone else moves.
I am an aging star,
sitting alone in the darkness of space,
my companions too far away.
We are millions of miles apart.
