There is a sadness beneath my heart
Wondering and Praying
That he will survive
The hard times and the bad times
Of the war that comes
Knowing that he will get hurt
There is a sadness beneath my heart
There is no point in stopping him
Cause this is what he wants
To fight and to kill
The people of the war
There is a sadness beneath my heart
There maybe fire in his eyes
But there are tears in mine
As I say goodbye
There is a sadness beneath my heart
