are you out there
that one person for me
the girl of the Sun
---the queen of the bees
at every turn
she leaps
and i learn
the sting of her tail
and the way that she burns
throughout the day
segmented at night
i see her waiting
the idea of flight
images
and pictures
i stumble i crawl
i'm beaten i fall
i crumble i recover
i give thanks to it all
nevermind the cost
just hand over the ball
life is a game
you just gotta know when to call
sometimes you're down
and very nearly done
and those are the times
i wish for the Sun
