Today

By
I just can’t move away.
You are a beauty mark that never fades.
Always there,
even when I can’t seem to see it.
But oh, do I see it—You—today.
You’re a blinding light,
a road block in every path.
But my eyes, I do not shield them.
My steps, they never turn back.
Today, all I can do is stop. At You.
You.
You.
Try to move,
but I don’t want to move away.
You, I can’t not be stuck on today.
Not today,
tomorrow,
not the next day.
