Mine

Shush, let our hands intertwine
Feel the pulse between our fingertips
What's yours is yours, but you are mine

My love for you ticks with the hand of time
Please don't loosen your grip
Shush, let our hands intertwine

Hearts sewn together with the finest twine
Yet strong enough to never slip
What's yours is yours, but you are mine

Together we'll walk each temperate line
With each drink of your iris dip
Shush, let our hands intertwine

Keep what you may, from your eyes I'll dine
Just the way you curl your lip
What's yours is yours, but you are mine

Though the thread we walk may be fine
Forever I'll tread this trip
Shush, let our hands intertwine
What's yours is yours, but you are mine

A poem written for a very special someone. This piece is a specific type of poem called a Villanelle. It's just as special as the person it's written for. <33
