"It's Not About Who You Spend Friday Night With...
...It's About With Who You Want To Spend The Whole Of Saturday And Sunday Night..."

Wake up , Wake up , I've been waiting for you ,

For you to finally see ,

Wake up , wake up , awake anew

And see what you mean to me...

You made me laugh , you made me sing

Without you , I saw no point living

You made me sad , you made me sore ,

But still , to me , you meant a whole lot more...

I thought you were mine , the way I was yours ,

Ever thine , ever mine , ever ours ,

And now that I sit , to in your memory , write a song ,

The words just don't seem to come along...

You broke my heart , you made me cry

Friendship? No , it was all a lie

And though I'll admit , I didn't know what I was getting into , what was at stake ,

You'll have to too , for you're too at mistake...

You said you'll be by my side , always as a friend

But you tossed me aside favouring the changing trend

Now you don't care , now you don't mind

So much that you don't even bother to utter a word in kind...

With just a smile , you made my day ,

But looking back , I realise , in your hands , I was clay

To mould as you wish , to do with as you please

Please , I beg you , give me some release...

I keep looking in all the places you're supposed to be

My eyes not finding what they wish to see

I still don't understand m 'cause we vowed to be together till the end,

But Ah! Now I remember; you were never my friend...

Now that you've broken it , my heart , it'll never be whole ,

And you've left me writhing in pain , a maimed soul

Together forever , yes , we vowed , till the end ,

Well , nothing in the world exists that is without an end...

Wake up , Wake up , the end is near

And once again , I sit tearfully here

For now I may have lost hope , but there is an end to my pain

For you only see sunshine when you've waited through the rain.....

The author's comments:
This poem was written when I was 14 and going through a particularly rough patch. I can't exactly say that it's fiction ; it's a half and a half , but the feelings don't change. I wrote this because i wanted an outlet to express my heart-wrenching pain , and words seemed the best way...
